Good for the price, assembly is a b—- Now that it’s assembled, I really like it. Assembling it was not an enjoyable process. The pegs that come with it are WOEFULLY undersized and are about as effective at holding it together as angel kisses and baby’s breath. There was a lot of breath-holding and impromptu yoga moves (and cursing…) involved in getting it together. I could have gone out and bought appropriately-sized pegs, but come on… That’s why they’re supposed to send you the hardware in the first place.
It is sturdy, solid wood The box was damaged when it delivered so I was worried about what I would find when I opened it up. I’m thrilled to say that everything was packed so well, three wasn’t any damage to the pieces. Whew! Clearly this is a company who cares about quality and ensuring the customer satisfaction!
a pain to assemble and missing parts Assembling this was sort of like assembling a house of cards. There was no stability or strength until the thin, pressboard panel was screwed onto the back. It’s a nice looking bench though, and should work for my children to sit on when putting on or taking off shoes. Additionally, I ordered 2 and only one came with hardware. The hardware packet was completely missing for the second box. The email address to submit issues to that was included on the assembly manual is not in service. I have…
