Designed to safely and comfortably contain pets, this premium-quality dog crate provides a secure environment to help prevent separation anxiety, practice training, and prevent damage to furniture and other items inside the house.

Precisely manufactured using sturdy steel with an ultra-durable finish, this kennel resists wear for years of use. It’s simple to clean with a grated flooring and pan that removes easily, and features caster wheels for convenient portability when not in use.

Our premium crates and pens are used by professional breeders, handlers, and everyday pet owners worldwide.

For maximum comfort, the crate should be sized 4″ to 6″ longer than the dog’s body length, and 4″ to 6″ taller than its shoulder height. If the animal is not fully grown, please consult a breed chart to approximate the dog’s future adult size, and choose a crate accordingly.

SmithBuilt is an industry leader for pet products and accessories, known for providing exceptional quality at a great value.

Product Features

  • PREMIUM-GRADE CONSTRUCTION: Commercial-quality steel construction provides a heavy-duty, solid framed pet crate expertly crafted and designed to keep pets safe and comfortable. Built-to-last, animal cage features a 3/4″ frame reinforced with 1/2″ diameter (20 gauge) welded steel tubes for top to bottom strength and durability.
  • CONVENIENT TWO-DOOR DESIGN: Great for puppies, growing pets, and energetic breeds; this kennel features both top and side door access. The front door locks with two slide-bolt latches, and the crate top with one.
  • ROLLING with LOCKING WHEELS: Includes four rolling casters for easy transfer from room to room. Two wheels have locks to prevent accidental movement and keep your cage securely in place.
  • RUST & CORROSION-RESISTANT: Featuring a multi-layer, protective hammer-tone coating that resists rust, corrosion, and fading, this cage is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
  • REMOVABLE PAN FOR EASY CLEANING: Tray is stain and rust resistant and won’t retain pet odors. Grated design allows for any soiling to drop to the lower pan to maintain a clean environment for pets. Bottom pan features an integrated lip around the perimeter to contain any mess from spilling outside the kennel. Both trays are held securely in place by a retaining latch to prevent slipping, but can easily slide out from the bottom for easy and convenient cleaning.

This crate is NOT heavy duty. This crate is bad news. We crated our dog twice. Once for about a half hour and the second time for 20 minutes. Within 20 minutes our dog was able to do this much damage to this “heavy duty crate”. Our dog is a female black lab, five years old and 60 lbs. We bought the 42″ crate. We purchased this “heavy duty” crate because she was able to bend the flimsy metal bars of our old crate.Keep in mind that the kennel seems heavy duty. When you look at it you have no…

Locks are worthless – Use luggage locks! Purchased this crate to hold my 90lb greyhound who bent his last two “heavy duty” wire crates to the point of unusable. Delivery was quick (3 days) and it came undamaged. Crate is very heavy (listed as 91lbs). Easy to set-up with a 10mm socket. I did not tighten the bolts until all were in place. Everything lined-up and the crate was square. I did not add the wheels. The instructions were bare-bones and could have been better. The size of the 48″ crate makes it look like…

SUPER cage/crate! – The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly! OK, as per usual my M.O. for reviews, I am going to give “The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly” of this product:1) The Good:a. This cage/crate IS INDEED “Heavy Duty” – every one of my huge German Shepherds doesn’t even TRY to break out or chew on the bars – while my last steel crate (with thinner steel wire) my Shepherds slowly tore it apart (bar by bar) – the “welds” were just not strong enough on that [other] crate. But with THIS product the bars are absolutely HUGE! (and the…
