Hate it I bought this pet gate because it says that it can extend to 80 inches. However, it’s not really stable when it is extended to this width. It will probably work better at shorter widths. Nothing holds the panels together besides the slide rails at the bottom. They include two “optional” screws to keep the gate at the desired width, but it does not work like the Richell pet gate where there are multiple screw holes and you pick where to screw based on the width that you want, the screws on this…
great looks, limited functionality It’s definitely the nicest looking gate that I could find, pretty wood. But don’t plan on it holding back a big dog or even a little one that’s determined. We have a 10-pound maltipoo who can push it aside … but she only does it when she’s determined to get into a room. The side and foot rails help to balance the gate, but we have to put a chair, magazine basket, or something heavy on the other side of the gate so she can’t push it.
