Worth every penny. I love these liners. They are the perfect fit for the plastic grey nest box and are easily manipulated so that hens can shape their nests. I have three boxes and replace a liner (due to a smashed egg, filth, etc.) probably every other month. But they hold shape fairly well, even after the hens have rearranged them to suit. So well that I can just pull them out of the box, give them a good shake, and put them back in clean. Unlike other bedding that can stick to a freshly laid egg, these liners…
I like ’em I wasn’t so sure in looking at these if they were better than just straw or shavings but they totally are!! The squares are stuck to a backing so everything stays where it should. My hens were a little wary at first but now they love it and are laying in the boxes again no problem. The material keeps the boxes, and thus the eggs, very clean :). Can’t live without these! I really thought we could do without these for the longest time, and for years, we did… our hens laid on alfalfa hay, on coarse sand, on shredded paper, on all sorts of things.
