Good design but pricey, small and sloppy workmanship We purchased this for our small flock of bantams that we somehow ended up buying at Chick Days at the local Tractor Supply. We bought the nest box at the same time.

Decent quality, happy chickens, not much space Some reviews note the thin wood and light hardware,but I;m not sure heavier duty would be an improvement. After about six months of use, the coop works great. Parts fit together well. The hens love the add-on chick-n-nest box, where eggs are being laid daily with 100% success. But, and a big one, there’s no way 4 – 6 hens could happily live here. There’s about 20 square feet of floor space, impeded by the ramp, which is a tight space for two hens according to typically recommended 10 sq ft…
